Principal's welcome

Thar cheann phobal na scoile, fáilte chuig ár suíomh gréasáin Scoil Mhuire, Baile na nGallóglach. Tá súil again go mbaineann tú taitneamh agus tairbhe as do chuairt.

We are pleased to offer you this website as a communication tool, one of many ways in which we interact with our parents/guardians, community or those seeking more information about our school.

As Principal, I am thrilled to be leading the school forward, building on the tremendous achievements of its past and becoming part of its unfolding and exciting future.I am also privileged to work with a staff that is highly professional and whose commitment underpins the warmth and vitality of this great school.

As a Catholic school within the Parish of Killygarvan and Tullyfern, we aim to create a place of welcome and to provide a wholesome learning experience, where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral, social and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. We are committed to creating a safe and positive learning environment where staff and pupils promote and model the Christian values of truth, justice, respect and compassion. Consequently, we trust that each person finds themselves as valued members of our happy, vibrant learning community.

Scoil Mhuire recognises that parents/guardians are their children’s primary educators. We strive to encourage their avid involvement in the life of school and value their input as mutually enriching for all of us.

As an educational team, we at Scoil Mhuire are dedicated to academic excellence and whilst establishing high expectations, we also recognise that each pupil learns at their own pace, and success is unique to each individual. We cherish all children equally and take particular care to support the vulnerable and those who may have special educational needs.

We hope to foster a love of learning and a yearning to explore the unfolding mysteries of life.

Our partnership with parents/guardians, Board of Management, teachers and special needs assistants work together to nurture well educated, confident, balanced young people.

Thank you for your interest in our school. We hope that this website will keep you updated on developments and give you an insight into the lively dynamic of our school community.

Fíor fáilte romhat
